PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT
Our Paediatricians triage all referrals prior to an appointment being made. Please ask your GP Practice to send the referral through to us either via Fax or Medical Objects.
Once the referral has been triaged by our paediatricians, we will be in contact with you.
Alternatively, you may fax or email a copy of the referral as soon as you receive it to reception@drulrikeschmidt.com.au
If you have been to the clinic before and are unsure if your referral is still valid please contact our reception staff.
Please provide any relevant results of previous assessments and tests that you have available before the appointment.
OPENING HOURS
Monday - Thursday: 9am - 5:00pm (except prearranged Fridays)
Public Holidays, Saturday & Sunday: Closed

RESULTS
Due to counselling and possible additional investigations which may be required, results from medical tests can not be provided on the phone.
At the time medical investigations are ordered, a follow-up appointment will be arranged. Potentially this can be done via video-call/ phonecall. Please arrange the follow-up after your appointment.
An earlier appointment time will be scheduled should results require urgent medical attention.
Your referring doctor usually will be sent a copy of your child's medical investigation results. If all was within normal limits your local doctor may inform you regarding the results.
REPORT POLICY
Consultation letters are customarily sent to the referring doctor after each appointment. It is the referring doctor's decision to release information contained in this report.
Alternatively, you can arrange a review appointment with the paediatricians to get letters and results explained. Please arrange this with our reception staff.
At the initial appointment, you will be asked for written consent to exchange relevant information with other professionals involved in your child's care. This may involve your child's principal, school counsellor and/or class teacher.
A letter detailing diagnosis and outcomes from the consultation may be sent to your child's school at your request. You reserve the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
NDIS Applications - Unfortunately, our paediatricians do not complete NDIS Applications. Your child's GP is able to complete the form. You are welcome to submit the diagnosis letter together with the application.
Centrelink application forms - Your child's GP is able to complete these forms.
